Rax Restaurant in Lancaster

Maybe they were just having a bad day, I hadn't ate there for years, but it was a really bad experience. I ordered two mushroom melts, one had no meat on it!!! The vegetables on them were raw, and they were cold! Isn't a mushroom melt supposed to be hot?? They had coffee, but no cream. It also took forever to get my order.

The food was wonderful. The wait for it in the drive through was about 15 mins. It wasnt even busy.

Excellent roast beef sandwiches and although the drive through took a lil longer than average, the cashier was exceptional and included a free fry and dipping sauce just for a couple minutes of wait time. If you haven't been, you should and definitely sign up for mobile coupons cause they send out ones for free sandwiches a couple times a month!

A lots changed in over a decade since they shut down most of the rax locations. I traveled in hopes that the food would come close to what I remembered as a kid. The roast beef was just like I remembered it but they've changed their signature bbq sauce to some generic packet brand. To me the bbq was what made their roast beef perfect. The fries were really good but they type they serve now also slightly differs from the thick cut fries I remember. As far as the interior of the restaurant it's basically just like I remember it. It hasn't aged well though. The same carpet that was put in eons ago is definatly still there and the building is in pretty bad disrepair. If you're in the area I would recommend giving it a shot but honestly it's not worth an out of the way trip.

There's something about the BBC sandwich. The roast beef is equally tasty as the leading competitor, and the bacon reminds me of what my family got among multiple other tasty pork products at a processing company in the country. This is an excellent sandwich to be part of a frequent discount offer.

Need to work on suggestive selling and attitudes. Fries cold. Could've been better

One of the last 3 Rax restaurants that is still open today! Hit the nostalgia taste buds with a BBC and it did not disappoint! Also amazing are their potato skins with cheese and bacon! Fast food hit of the 80's still serving their classic roast beef. Stop by today!

Rax roast beef is the best hands down.

A little slow, but I'm so tired of McDonald's and Wendy's and pizza we drove a hundred miles from home to get here. Arby's may have meat, but they can't touch RAX. An unappreciated classic, worth the drive in my opinion. I'd trade you two Wendy's for a Rax.

The food is usually good but the drive thru was a joke this time only got half the order too far away too go back and get it lucky the food was good

Staff was friendly, the place is very outdated, not very clean, kind of off putting dining area which makes you question your decision to eat at this establishment. Guess Rax just needs to finally shut down it's last restaurant.

Rax is, sadly, a dying breed. But made a special trip here as it is one of only a handful of locations left, and it was worth it! BBCs were delicious, and the restaurant was clean and staff very attentive. No endless salad bar here, but I came for the BBCs and was not disappointed whatsoever.

I always have a nice meal at this location. Good food and friendly staff.

These sandwiches are remind me of 10 years ago. I forgot how good the BBC was.

I had not had a mushroom melt in nearly 15 years since the Rax in my town closed. Let me tell you what, I think the one from this location tasted better than I remembered even. So lucky to have found this little gem to remind me of my childhood. Will be making a trip back!

My mom said she used to go there all the time as a kid. She really enjoyed it.

An absolutely dated fast food restaurant that is in horrible need of a remodel. The service can be spotty. Sometimes really quick other times not so much. The food is usually decent though. Not to many Rax Restaurants around. I eat it for the nostalgia.

They are great! They need at least a couple stores in Columbus,Ohio. Please come back. I had to drive to lancaster, ohio for a King Rax.

Love this place. Great service for a fast food establishment. Food is always hot and order correct. Roast beef puts Arby's to shame.

The food is always good, the lot is freshly paved (one of the few places around Lancaster without potholes), the staff is friendly, and it's one of the few choices for a decent roast beef sandwich around town.Would love to see the storefront updated, I think this store deserves it.

Was a blast from the past, nice to see a few in operation. After driving nearly 100 miles to have a RAX Beef N Cheddar, I was extremely pleased to see on the menu in larger than most print, ENDLESS SALAD BAR, that didn't last long, as I was quickly informed the endless bar, met its end,, the evil had finally won, and Uncle Alligator was no where to be found to consol my sorrow. Radio Shack was worried everyone thought they were stuck in the 80"s, I had high hopes, for this trip and images of beef pile after pile, but quickly found this RAX has left the 80's far behind. Even in my disappointment I did find the food I ordered was acceptable, and the Roast Beef seemed to have that RAX flavor, so maybe one tiny piece of that 80's greatness carries on.
